What age Should My Child See the dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that infants should start seeing the dentist within 6 months of getting their first tooth or by age 1.

Infants start getting their first teeth at 6 months.

The reason to have your infant coming to the dentist early is to help prevent decay by catching bad habits and modifying them early on.

When Should I start Brushing my baby's teeth?

You should start brushing your child's tooth as soon as the first tooth erupts. After feeding your baby, if you cannot brush the teeth, then you may take a damp washcloth and wipe the teeth with a dab of toothpaste. It is critical to brush your baby's teeth right before they go to bed to prevent baby bottle decay.
