What to expect from a root canal procedure
Root canal treatment typically takes 2-3 visits
You will be given local anesthetic which will last 6-8 hours so that it is painless the whole day
You will not feel any discomfort during the procedure except during administration of local anesthetic
The root canal will be cleaned with various instruments and solutions, while you are wearing a Rubber Dam. This protects your tooth from harmful bacteria in your mouth.
You can expect the procedure to take about 60-90 minutes
While root canals have a bad reputation, they are very comfortable, straightforward, and overall painless
Microscope Root Canal Therapy
All Root Canal Therapy is performed under magnification. An option is available for treatment using a dental microscope. The use of a microscope facilitates the overall root canal treatment process because endodontists have extremely close up view of the situation. The reason why microscope use is critical is that the canals in a tooth often have more than one central channel and do not always run straight. High magnification is needed to cleanse these canal spaces thoroughly. By magnifying vision up to 25 times that of the naked eye and illuminating the area, the microscope improves diagnosis and treatment and results in superior care for patients.
